Oh Hey, 2011

Last night at Lee Family New Year’s Day Seafood Fest — the only reason I got out of bed yesterday — I realized that there is in fact a new year upon us. 2011 sounds so space-age. But then again, I probably thought that about 2010.

I spent New Year’s Eve with some great people, good food, fun games and, of course, champagne. I also spent New Year’s Eve accosting my wonderful friends with my new Flip Video HD Camcorder. I asked them two questions:

  1. What will you remember/want to remember most about 2010?
  2. What are you most looking forward to in 2011?

Some had good, creative, interesting answers. Some did not care to even humor me — Hugh said he’s most looking forward to watching the Orioles win the World Series this year. That’s just not even funny.

I can’t wait to post videos, hopefully later tonight!

In other news, we also started a new month this weekend and January has a lot to look forward to. Starting tomorrow night with VT playing in the Orange Bowl against Stanford (I’m fixing to buy a new TV this afternoon to watch the game on tomorrow), then friends’ birthdays, my office’s post-holiday party, Rebecca’s 25th birthday … that’s all I can think of for now.

Happy new year and happy new January.
