Cranes, Cranes, Cranes

Well I didn’t come back yesterday, and thus had a slip-up in my post-every-day plan. But it was a busy day well-spent, so no regrets here.

The crane project last week was largely successful. We’ve raised almost $400 in small cash contributions for the American Red Cross’s relief efforts in Japan. Since the company has a matching gifts program for individual contributions of $25 or more, I’ve encouraged that means of giving as well. Though I didn’t set out with a goal to create any specific number of cranes, we made well over 400 last week. Because of this and because of the enthusiasm of some truly wonderful people, we will make 1,001 before bringing them to the Japanese Embassy as a gift.
